In the early 80’s the state was buying right of way for theIndependence Expressway, I needed areal-estate agent that I trusted to help locate asuitable property for my business. Iinterviewed several and was impressed with Ian’s professional manor and helpfulattitude. He soon located a number of properties and we settled on the Thrift Road location. The building size was good but it needed to beuplifted for retail. Ian helped with getting anarchitect and building contractor tocustomize the building for our needs. In 2014 at age 74 Idecided it was time to retire. I again called on my friend Ian to list my property for sale. Heonce again guided me through the process. Heresearched the best asking price for the property and soon was showing the property always advising me in advance due to the fact that I wanted tocontinue with my retail business as long aspossible. Early last year we had two good offers within the same week. Wedecided on the best highest offer. Ian then worked with the buyer and his agent andnegotiated a lease back for three months that allowed me tohave a going out of business sale and move the remaining inventory into a warehouse.
